Moll, Balthasar FerdinandMoll, Balthasar Ferdinand, b. Innsbruck (Tyrol), Jan. 4, 1717, d. Vienna, March 3, 1785, sculptor. Began his training under his father Nikolaus M., took over the artistic estate of G. R. Donner; 1751-1754 taught at the Vienna Academy. His later works are already classicist in character. Works: Vienna: tombstones in St. Stephen´s cathedral; ornamental coffins of the imperial family in the Capuchin tombs, double sarcophagus for Franz I and Maria Theresia (1751-1772, main work); equestrian statue of Franz I in Vienna Burggarten, 1781.
