Wahle, Richard


Wahle, Richard, b. Vienna, Feb. 14, 1857, d. Vienna, Oct. 21, 1935, positivist philosopher. Student of E. Mach, friend of S. Freud. Rejected metaphysics (with the exception of Spinoza) and reduced psychology to a purely physiological approach. Lecturer at the University of Vienna 1885-1895, then University Professor in Chernovtsy (Ukraine), and 1917-1933 again in Vienna.

Register der paar philosophischen Wahrheiten, 1934.
