Schey von Koromla, Friedrich FreiherrSchey von Koromla, Baron Friedrich (from 1869), b. Köszeg, Hungary (then Güns), March 5, 1815, d. Vienna, July 15, 1881. Banker. Worked in a Vienna bank from 1835, founded a wholesale business in 1855 and ran his own silk production in Slavonia. From 1854 S. von K. was director of the Vöslau worsted factory and member of various boards of banks, railways and factories. He founded the Vienna Commercial Academy and the Vienna Municipal Theatre (Wiener Stadttheater). Literature: ÖBL.
