Ziani, Marc´AntonioZiani, Marc´ Antonio, b. Venice (Italy), around 1653, d. Vienna, Jan. 22, 1715, composer. Nephew of Pietro Andrea Ziani; lived in Venice, Naples and Mantua from 1674, where he composed operas; 1700 deputy conductor at the court of Leopold I in Vienna, 1712 conductor at the court; one of the best known composers of operas at the turn of the 17th century. Works: 49 operas, 17 oratoria, church music, sonatas.
