Leading Styrian sculptor of the first half of the 18th century; in Graz from at least 1713, teacher of J. T. Stammel. Works: Graz: high altar in the cathedral, 1730-1733 (main work); carved pieta in outer niche of the Bürgerspitalskirche church; Johann-Nepomuk-group in the Zentralfriedhofskirche church; high altar in the Straßgang parish church. - Styria: trinity columns in Leoben and Vordernberg; statues for the Schönberg parish church near Knittelfeld. - Vienna: Nepomuk statue in front of the entrance of the baroque museum in the Belvedere.
