Vienna, April 25, 1997, paediatrician, university professor. 1963 established the first special workshop for young people suffering from neurological disorders. 1966-1989 head of the Department for Developmentally Retarded Children at the Neurological Hospital Rosenhügel in Vienna, from 1985 also medical director. Discovered the R. syndrome, a malfunction of the cerebral metabolism named after him, that occurs only in girls. Advocated more tolerance for handicapped people.
