Reichenau, KärntenReichenau, Carinthia, municipality in the district of Feldkirchen, alt. 1,095 m, pop. 2,123, area 113.96 km2, bi-seasonal tourism (167,526 overnight stays in 1992), with its centre at the village of Ebene Reichenau in the upper-most part of the Gurk Valley, south of the Gurktal Alps. - Administration office of the Nockberge National Park (local branch office), school for sculptors, golf courses, summer tobogganing course, Winkl power station; wood-working industry. - Late-Baroque parish church in Ebene Reichenau. North of Reichenau: Turracher Höhe Pass (1,783 m), Turrachsee and Schwarzsee lakes. Cadastral district Sankt Lorenzen.
