Prantl, Karl© Copyright Karl Prantl, photo, 1970 Prantl, Karl, b. Pöttsching (Burgenland), Nov. 5, 1923, sculptor. Trained as a painter; self-taught as a sculptor, P. used abstract forms in his work ("Meditationssteine") as early as 1950. 1959 founded the international sculptors' symposium Bildhauersymposion in the quarry at St. Margarethen, Burgenland.
