Meister der Passionstäfelchen

Meister der Passionstäfelchen, painter, worked in Vienna or Salzburg around 1400. Possibly came originally from the Habsburg territories; was greatly influenced by Western art and that of the Italian Trecento. One of his works is the painting "Christ before Caiphas" in the Österreichische Galerie Belvedere in Vienna (around 1400; one of the fragments of a panel depicting Passion scenes which has been sawn up). Other fragments are kept at Frankfurt am Main (Städelsches Kunstinstitut) and Cologne (Wallraf-Richartz-Museum).
