Mediz, KarlMediz, Karl, b. Vienna, June 4, 1868, d. Dresden (Germany), Jan. 11, 1945, portrait and landscape painter; husband of Emilie Mediz-Pelikan. Studied at the Academy of Arts in Vienna and Munich, 1891 moved to Dresden, 1902-1912 member of the Hagenbund artists' association.
