Börner, Wilhelm, b. Laa an der Thaya (Lower Austria), June 26, 1882, d. Vienna, Dec. 17, 1951, writer, physician, educationalist; took over the "Ethical Society" founded by F. Jodl in Vienna. 1938-1948 in the USA; main representative of non-denominational moral education and pioneer of the (Peace Movement in Austria.


Works: Die ethische Bewegung, 1912; Charakterbildung der Kinder, 1914; Antisemitismus - Rassenfrage - Menschlichkeit, 1936.
