Kramsach (Tyrol), Aug. 27, 1914, important political economist. University professor in Innsbruck and Vienna, 1911-1914 president of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Together with K. Menger von Wolfensgrün and F. Wieser founded the Austrian school of political economy (Marginal Utility Theory ), developed the agio theory of interest.
