Wayß, Gustav Adolf, b. Mühlhausen (Germany), Oct. 16, 1851, d. Waidhofen an der Ybbs (Lower Austria), Aug. 19, 1917. Engineer, pioneer of reinforced-concrete construction, acquired Monier's patents in 1885. Worked in Vienna from 1903. Founder of the construction firm "G. A. W. & Co.".
