Venediger ProtokollVenice Protocol, treaty between Austria and Hungary concluded on October 13, 1921 through the mediatorship of Italy. Hungary promised to peacefully relinquish the province of Burgenland (the northern part was occupied from November 13 until November 17, the southern part from November 25 until November 30, 1921), Austria agreed to hold a plebiscite (December 14-16, 1921) in Ödenburg and its environs, which was not provided for by the peace treaty of Trianon Palaces and the result of which was that the area remained with Hungary.
