Teuerungsunruhen 1911Price Riots of 1911, demonstrations in front of the Vienna town hall on September 17, 1911. Following clashes with the police, the "Deutschmeister" infantry regiment was called to re-establish order; other riots ensued in front of the workers´ home in Ottakring (16th district of Vienna), where the Social-Democrat directors of the home lost control of the crowd. The riots were triggered by the low income of the workers.
