London (United Kingdom), Aug. 25, 1946, violinist, brother-in-law of G. Mahler; 1881-1931 first violin of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra; 1882 founded the world-renowned R. quartet; 1909-1924 professor at the Vienna academy. Emigrated to London in 1938.
