Pfarrkirchen bei Bad Hall


Pfarrkirchen bei Bad Hall, Upper Austria, municipality in the district of Steyr-Land, alt. 397 m, pop. 1,982 (1981: 1,777), area 11.18 km2, southwest of Bad Hall. - Beverage and furniture industry. - Parish church with Gothic core, redecorated in Baroque/Rococo style (documented mention in 1179, rebuilt between 1744-1777); its interior is a gem of Upper Austrian Rococo: stuccowork (1740-1750), frescoes and altar-pieces by W. A. Heindl (1748), side altars (early Rococo); Calvary chapel (18th century); parish church (1649); Johannes Nepomuk statue (1722); Feyregg palace (17th century), enlarged 1713-1733 by J. M. Prunner.
