Kühn, HeinrichKühn, Heinrich, b. Dresden (Germany), Feb. 25, 1866, d. Birgitz (Tyrol), Sept. 14, 1944, photographer and writer of technical books. From 1906 studio in Innsbruck and work with H. Henneberg und H. Watzek ("Trifolium"). Was interested in special printing techniques (gum and bromine oil prints), also art photographer of international renown, specialising in still lifes, portraits and landscapes; most important impressionist art photographer in German-speaking countries. Publications: Numerous publ. in the fields of photochemistry and photophysics. Literature: U. Knapp, Der Kunstfotograf H. K. (1866-1944), doctoral thesis, Innsbruck 1985.
