Keim, Franz, b. Stadl-Paura (Upper Austria), Dec. 28, 1840, d. Brunn am Gebirge (Lower Austria), June 26, 1918, playwright, poet, 1875-1898 teacher at a grammar school in St. Pölten. Wrote mostly popular plays containing motives and topics taken from the history of Lower Austria.


Edition: Gesammelte Werke, 5 vols., 1912/1913 (including an autobiography).

Literature: O. Scholz, F. K. als Dramatiker, doctoral thesis, Vienna 1928; ÖBL; NDB.
