Isepp, SebastianIsepp, Sebastian, b. Nötsch (Tirol), Feb. 18, 1884, d. London (Great Britain), Dec. 3, 1954, painter. From 1903 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna; 1908-1918 participated in important exhibitions at the Secession; together with O. Kokoschka and E. Schiele was a prominent member of the group of artists called "Neukunstgruppe". 1915-1918 fought as a soldier in World War I; severely wounded. After the war stopped painting works of his own; 1925-1936 worked as a restorer at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna; 1938 emigrated to Great Britain, where he was a restorer at the National Gallery in London.
