Hartmann, SeligerHartmann, beatified, feast day Dec. 23, b. near Passau (Germany), around 1090, d. Brixen/Bressanone (South Tyrol), Dec. 23, 1164, while bishop introduced a number of reforms; adviser to Emperor Friedrich I, 1133-1140 provost of Chiemsee and Klosterneuburg; 1140 Bishop of Brixen; 1142 founded the Augustinian monastery in Neustift near Bressanone.
