Friedrich von SonnenburgFriedrich von Sonnenburg, medieval poet, lived during the second half of the 13th century. Wrote political, didactic and above all religious sayings, probably worked in Bavaria, Bohemia and Tyrol from 1250-1275. Possibly descended from a South Tyrolean family of estate officials (Sonnenburg monastery near Brixen/Bressanone). F. v. S. was regarded by later poets as a "Master". Edition: A. Masser, F. v. S.
