Dunkelsteinerwald


Dunkelsteinerwald Hill Region, Lower Austria, forested hills, geologically forms part of the Bohemian Massif south of the River Danube between Melk and Hollenburg; Mühlberg mountain 725 m; on the edge of the Dunkelsteinerwald lie the monasteries of Melk and Göttweig.
