Canaval, Gustav Adolf, b. Linz (Upper Austria), Aug. 5, 1898, d. Salzburg, Nov. 26, 1959, journalist, 1934-1936 editor of the magazine "Sturm über Österreich", 1936-1938 editor-in-chief of the "Telegraf", 1938-1945 prisoner in Flossenbürg concentration camp; from 1945 licensee and editor-in-chief (until 1959) of the newspaper "Salzburger Nachrichten" together with M. Dasch.
