Boltzmann-InstituteBoltzmann Institutes: The Ludwig-Boltzmann-Gesellschaft was founded in 1960 as the parent organization of 103 institutes and research centres (1995) for human medicine, natural science, technological science, social studies, the humanities etc. The Boltzmann Institutes are founded and run in cooperation with university and other scientific institutions, especially medical research hospitals. The first Boltzmann Institute was founded in 1965 (solid-state physics).
