Bensa, Alexander Ritter von, der JüngereBensa, Alexander Ritter* von, the younger, b. Vienna, July 15, 1820, d. Vienna, Jan. 1, 1902, painter, son and pupil of Alexander (Franz) von Bensa the elder. Studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, influenced by A. von Pettenkofen, genre painting depicting ordinary people´s lives in Hungary as well as the life and milieu of the upper classes; renowned for his battle scenes.
