Weber, Konstanze verheiratete Mozart bzw. Nissen© Copyright Konstanze Weber. Pastel. Weber, Konstanze (married name: Mozart, later Nissen), b. Zell in Wiesental (Germany), Jan. 5, 1762, d. Salzburg, March 6, 1842, singer (soprano); sister of Aloysia Weber (Lange), married W. A. Mozart in Vienna in 1782, against the will of his father L. M. Mozart). After her husband's death in 1791 she had his work published by J. A. André in Offenbach and sorted out (and manipulated) the estate. Her 2nd husband, the Danish diplomat G. Nissen, whom she married in 1809 in Bratislava, wrote the 1st Mozart biography. W. lived in Salzburg from 1821 (widowed in 1826) until her death.
