UNRRAUNRRA, United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration, organisation founded in 1943 and taken over by the UNO to help refugees in areas liberated by the Allies. From February 8, 1946 until June 30, 1947 Austria received food, clothes, vehicles, seeds and fertilisers worth 137 million US $, mainly provided by the USA. This aid was of vital importance for many Austrians, especially in the winter of 1946/47.
