Deals with questions of creativity and with fairy tales as a literary category, writes modern fairy tales (around 30 publications until 2001) and organizes courses and events (from 1988 "Die lange Nacht der Märchenerzähler", since 1992 the fairy tales festival "Weltfest des Märchens" in Graz resp. "Graz erzählt"). Among the most successful contemporary authors of fairy tales in the world (Tegetthoff Archives at the University of Kentucky, USA, research group Tegetthoff fairy tales in Nanjing, China); awarded the "Lego Prize" 1994.
