Sankt Pantaleon, Upper Austria, municipality in the district of Braunau, alt. 372 m, pop. 3,108, area 18.31 km2. Automotive, heating and mechanical engineering; thermal power plants Riedersbach I (built in 1969, 50 MW) and II (built in 1987, 165 MW), Trimmelkam lignite mine (where "Salzach coal" is mined), closed since December 1993 (1985: yearly output 700,000 t). - Parish church with Gothic core (first documented mention in 1150), Baroque additions in 1676 and 1688, stucco work by M. Vierthaler (1732), high altar (1773), side and gallery altars (17th century).
