Samson-Umzug


Samson Procession (Samson-Umzug), procession of a huge figure, sometimes accompanied by 2 dwarves in the Lungau region (Tamsweg, Mauterndorf, Sankt Michael, Muhr, Ramingstein, Lessach, Mariapfarr) at Corpus Christi and on other festive occasions, also as a tourist attraction; in Styria, such processions are held in Murau on the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, in Krakaudorf on the first Sunday in August.
