Sandauer, HeinzSandauer, Heinz, b. Vienna, Jan. 9, 1911, d. Vienna, Aug. 5, 1979, composer. Wrote film, incidental and light music; kapellmeister at various Vienna theatres; orchestrated music for F. Lehár, R. Stolz and E. Kálmán. From the 1920s with the RAVAG broadcasting company, from 1937 conductor of the Vienna Radio Orchestra. From 1946 with the Rot-Weiss-Rot radio station, then with ORF; professor at the Vienna University of Music from 1963.
