Ossarn

Ossarn, Lower Austria, village near Herzogenburg, archaeological site of a settlement on Grasberg mountain, which gave its name to the Ossarn division of the middle and late parts of the New Stone Age (Baden Culture). A bronze fibula in the form of a semi-human figure was discovered in a burial ground of the early La Tène Culture, one of the most outstanding examples of early Celtic crafts in Austria.
