Nobile, Peter von, b. Tesserete near Campestro (Switzerland), Oct. 11, 1774, d. Vienna, Nov. 7, 1854, leading architect of the late classicistic period in Vienna and director of the department of architecture at the Vienna Academy (from 1819).


Works: Vienna: Theseus temple, 1820-1823; outer Burgtor, 1824. - Graz: Schauspielhaus theatre, 1824/1825. - Publication: Progetti di vari monumenti architettonici imaginati, 1814.
