Muchar von Ried, Albert (Anton), b. Lienz, Tirol, Nov. 22, 1786, d. Graz. Styria, June 6, 1849 Graz, Benedictine monk at Admont, from 1835 Professor of Aesthetics, Classical Philology and Literature at Graz University; also recognised for his studies of the history of Styria and (see)Innerösterreich and the foundation of historical societies..
