Leobendorf, Lower Austria, market town in the district of Korneuburg, alt. 187 m, pop. 3,694 (1981: 3,104), area 29.97 km2, north of Korneuburg. - Federal road administration - traffic volume monitoring station of the Lower Austrian government, flood control office of the Federal River Regulation Agency; engineering industry, whole-sale businesses. - Gothic parish church of St. Markus, rebuilt 1733/34 after fire, Gothic frescos (around 1340), Baroque interiors; parsonage with mediaeval core structure, Baroque with later modifications; town hall (former freehold estate, after 1645 manor); Raaber Kreuz wayside cross (1599); Kreuzenstein castle.
