Leichter, Otto


Leichter, Otto, b. Vienna, Feb. 22, 1897, d. New York (USA), Feb. 13, 1973, journalist and writer; husband of Käthe Leichter. Worked closely together with O. Bauer as an editor of the "Arbeiterzeitung" newspaper (1925-1934), 1934 founder and for a short time also Chairman of the Revolutionary Socialists (Social Democratic Party driven underground, 1934), emigrated to the USA (1938), after 1945 reporter on the "Arbeiterzeitung" and UN-correspondent.
