Studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts under C. Holzmeister; from 1959 architect in Innsbruck, from 1979 professor at the University of Technology in Innsbruck; well known for his innovative buildings (e.g. Parish Church Völs near Innsbruck, 1965-1967). Further works: Neu-Arzl Church near Innsbruck, 1958-1960; parish churches in Lainz (Vienna), 1965-1968; and St. Barbara, Wulfen (Germany), 1968; parish centre Glanzing (Vienna), 1968; Bad Flora, Hungerburg near Innsbruck, 1969; St. Norbert church, Innsbruck, 1969-1972; grammar school, boarding school and convent of the Ursuline Order, Innsbruck, 1971-1979; youth centre Fellbach (Germany), 1974; housing development Arzbergsiedlung in Telfs, 1975-1978 (with H. Parson); administrative building, Jenbacher AG (Tyrol), 1992-1993.
