Köck, Eduard


Köck, Eduard, b. Innsbruck (Tyrol), Feb. 26, 1882, d. Natters (Tyrol), Nov. 3, 1961, actor, theatre manager and author. Co-founder of the "Exl-Bühne" theatre established by F. Exl in 1902 Exl-Bühne and its manager until it closed in 1955. Important actor on the Viennese popular stage (especially in plays by K. Schönherr and L. Anzengruber). Parts in numerous films with regional background ("Die Geierwally", 1940; "Der Sonnblick ruft", 1952).


Works: film-scripts: Glaube und Heimat, 1921; Peter im Schnee, 1937; Festschrift "40 Jahre Exl-Bühne", 1942 (ed.).
