Klafter


Klafter, old Austrian unit of length, was in use until the introduction of the metric system, from the end of the 18th century the Vienna Klafter was used as official standard measure. 1 K = 6 Fuß = 1.8965 m, 1 square Klafter = 36 square Fuß = 3.5966 m2, 1 cubic Klafter = 216 cubic Fuß = 6.82 m3.
