Graedener, Hermann T.Graedener, Hermann T., b. Kiel (Germany), May 8, 1844, d. Vienna, Sept. 18, 1929, composer and conductor, father of the author Hermann Graedener. Studied at the Vienna Conservatory, where he taught music theory from 1877-1913 (professor from 1882); from 1892-1896 conductor of the "Academy of Vocal Instruction" (Singakademie). His compositions were greatly influenced by J. Brahms, composed esp. orchestral works.
