Gerlos Valley (Gerlostal), Tirol, eastern lateral valley of Ziller valley. The Gerlosbach stream rises close to the Reichenspitze peak (alt. 3,303 m), reaches Tirol after the Gerlos Pass and flows into the Ziller stream at Zell am Ziller. The upper section of the valley is called Wildgerlostal. The Gerlos pass (alt. 1,509 m) connects Tirol and the Salzach valley (upper Pinzgau valley). Gerlos, the main village, lies at 1,245 m above sea level; the Gerlosbach stream is impounded in the Durlaßboden reservoir, close to the Gerlos pass.
