Ice Caves: There are numerous ice caves in the high Alpine karst regions of the Austrian limestone Alps, most of which contain ice-figures which remain unchanged throughout the year due to the constant temperatures. The most famous ice caves are the Eisriesenwelt and Eiskogel cave in Tennengebirge mountains, ice caves in Untersberg mountain ("Kolowrat Ice Caves") - all in the province of Salzburg -, the Tablerjoch ice caves in the Dürre Wand, the caves in Ötscher mountain in Lower Austria, Almberg ice cave and the Dachstein Caves in Upper Austria.
