Doblhoff-Dier, Baron Anton von, b. Gorizia, Italy (then Görz), Nov. 10, 1800, d. Vienna, April 16, 1872, politician; uncle of Josef Doblhoff-Dier. 1848 Minister of Trade, Interior Affairs and Culture (resigned December 10, 1848); 1849-1858 envoy to The Hague; from 1867 in the Upper Chamber of the Reichsrat, of which he was vice president in 1869.
