Costa, Karl (real name: K. Kostia), b. Vienna, Feb. 2, 1832, d. Vienna, Oct. 11, 1907, author of popular plays, civil servant, edited the humorous political magazine "Hans Jörgel von Gumpoldskirchen", 1882-1885 manager of the Theater in der Josefstadt.


Works: successful popular plays (Bruder Martin), parodies, local popular farces and libretti (among others for F. von Suppé's "Light Cavalry")
