Cossmann, Alfred, b. Graz (Styria), Oct. 2, 1870, d. Vienna, March 31, 1951, graphic artist; revived the art of copper engraving and wrote the book "Magie des Kupferstiches" (1947); taught at the School of Graphic Arts in Vienna.


Works: 205 bookplates and commercial art, stamps; illustrations of poetry by G. Keller.
