Meran/Merano (South Tyrol), April 27, 1909, actor, director, theatre manager; 1873/74 actor at the Vienna Burgtheater, 1892-1903 manager of the Irving Place Theater in New York, where F. Mitterwurzer, P. Barnay, A. von Sonnenthal and others gave guest performances; 1903-1907 manager of the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Literature: NDB.
