Vienna, June 16, 1922, actor, theatre manager, choir boy at the Vienna Court Opera, after 1863 employed at the Theater an der Wien, from 1869 in operettas and local farces at the Carltheater in a very successful trio of comedians together with W. Knaack and J. Matras; 1885-1900 manager of the Theater in der Josefstadt, the Carltheater, the Wiedner Theater and the Kolosseum in Vienna successively; was still acting late in life. Literature: P.
