Biedermann, Michael LazarBiedermann, Michael Lazar, b. Bratislava (Slovakia), Aug. 13, 1769, d. Baden (Lower Austria), Aug. 31, 1843, wholesaler and manufacturer. Came to Vienna as an engraver and jeweller in 1784 and founded the first wool-sorting factory employing 3,000 people. Left a fortune of 16 million guilders.
