Litzlberg (municipality of Seewalchen am Attersee, Upper Austria), June 17, 1958, Kammerschauspieler of Armenian-Italian descent. Lived in Vienna from 1897; 1917 joined the "Deutsche Volkstheater" in Vienna; 1920-1958 at the Vienna Burgtheater, played mainly classical heroes and complex characters (Hamlet, Mephisto, Marquis Posa, Nathan), 1945-1948 Director of the Vienna Burgtheater; numerous guest performances abroad, radio and film work; 1929 first actor to be awarded the title Kammerschauspieler.
